This was a wonderful project where we had the opportunity to learn a lot, from planning and team assembly to simply understanding the different habits of our fellow shredders.
Our plan was clear: as much powder as possible and beautiful descents by the sea. We handled the organization and planning entirely on our own. Our team consisted of only Xavi, Manuel, and David. Three splitboarders with a big dream and a single idea.
To see as much of Norway as possible, we decided to rent a camper. As it turned out, this was a moderate idea. Driving a 3.5-ton vehicle on the icy roads of inner Norway is not easy. When you felt you were driving fast, a truck would likely come up from behind, moving significantly faster.
After landing in Norway, we only had to take a short taxi ride. When we arrived at the place where we were supposed to pick up our camper, there was no one there, and the camper wasn’t ready. We had to wait another 1.5 hours before our great adventure could finally begin.
At last, we set off, and for the next 2.5 weeks, we would be living together in a small space. Our first destination was Lofoten. This meant taking turns driving: one person drove for 3 hours, someone sat next to them, and the third person could sleep. We rotated this way and reached Lofoten in just a few hours.
From Lofoten, we then traveled in stages from north to south, enjoying the most beautiful and best descents. But what good is a text to tell the whole story when pictures say more than a thousand words?
